A minimum of 10 pounds is required for all participants. Trekking poles are allowed. Required weight may not include consumable or wearable items such as food, water, or clothing. Weighted vests are permitted as long as the total weight meets the minimum requirement. There are no podium awards for the ruck division; however, all finishers will receive a finisher medal and a custom Velcro patch.

Outlaw Trail Series

Complete all six trail races in the Outlaw Trail Series within a single calendar year to earn an Oklahoma-shaped display plaque with hooks for your medals. The series includes Outlaw, Lake McMurtry, Flower Moon, Dark & Dirty, Liberty’s Lost Treasure, and Thunderbird. Any distance counts, from 5K through 135 miles.

Race Distances

Outlaw 135

The Outlaw 135 was created to meet growing demand for longer-distance events and serves as an ideal stepping stone for runners preparing for 200-mile races. The race begins alongside the 100-mile event on Saturday morning and has a 48-hour cutoff.

Outlaw 100

The 100-mile race completes the 13-mile loop seven times, followed by one additional 9-mile loop, totaling approximately 100 miles with roughly 17,500 feet of elevation gain. Expect highly technical terrain, rocky sections, moderate climbs, and water crossings, particularly after rainfall. Cutoff times are generous to reflect the difficulty and remoteness of the course.

50 Mile, Marathon, and Half Marathon

The half-marathon completes one 13.1-mile loop.
The marathon completes two loops.
The 50-mile race completes four loops, totaling approximately 52 miles.

Cutoff times are 48 hours for the 100-mile and 135-mile races, 39.5 hours for the 50-mile race, and 14 hours for the Sunday marathon and half marathon.

5K

One of the most scenic 5Ks in Oklahoma. The 5K may be run on Saturday or Sunday.

Participants completing at least a half marathon or longer on one day and the 5K on the other day will receive a special Outlaw item. One of the two runs must be completed in person.

The start time for the 100-mile and 135-mile races is 6:00 AM. The final cutoff for these races is 48 hours.

Aid stations are located at mile 5.5, mile 9 at Start/Finish, and mile 13 at Start/Finish, where bathrooms are available.

Deferral and Transfer Credit Policy

Refunds, deferrals, and transfers are not offered. Instead, the Outlaw Series provides a sliding-scale credit toward a future Outlaw event.

Credits may only be used by the originally registered participant and are valid for Outlaw events only. Credits expire two years from the original event date unless otherwise stated. The credit amount equals the registration fee paid minus taxes and fees. Transfers are one-time only and may not be re-transferred. Once credits are issued, they are considered used. The submission date determines the credit amount.

Credit amounts are as follows:
100 percent credit for requests submitted 90 or more days before the race
75 percent credit for requests submitted 30 to 89 days before the race
No credit for requests submitted fewer than 30 days before the race

Medical Risks

Participants are responsible for monitoring their physical and mental condition throughout the event. Local EMS will be used for emergencies, but all runners must understand their personal limits and the inherent risks of prolonged endurance activity. You are responsible for your own well-being at all times.

All race management decisions are final.
Littering is strictly prohibited.
Stashing supplies on the course is not allowed.
